Assistant physiotherapist of the Heart Institute (InCor-HCFMUSP) from 2005 to 2013. PhD in Science by InCor Sleep Laboratory, Pulmonologist from the School of Medicine – USP.  Board member of the Brazilian Association of Sleep (management 2014-2015). Coordinator of the Department of Sleep of ASSOBRAFIR (Brazilian Association of Cardiopulmonary Physiotherapy and Physiotherapy in Intensive Care).  She also works on care of patients with Sleep Disordered Breathing.

He works as a professor of the graduation course in Physiotherapy at the Catholic University of Pernambuco, and in various postgraduate courses in the country.  Coordinator of the Physiotherapy Services of the Hospital Dom Helder Camara.  He is also Physiotherapist of Adult ICU of  Hospital da Restauração and Associate Director of FMais Excellence in Cardiopulmonary Rehabilitation.He is currently a General Scientific Director of ASSOBRAFIR, organizer of PROFISIO – Update Program in Physiotherapy Updating in Adult Intensive Therapy, President of the Union of Physiotherapists and Occupational Therapists of Pernambuco and Treasurer of the Regional Council of Physiotherapy and Occupational Therapy of the First Region (CREFITO-1). Graduated in Physiotherapy by the Methodist University IPA (2006), PhD in Respiratory Sciences by the Federal University of Rio Grande do Sul – UFRGS. He was the Physiotherapist of the Intensive Care Unit of Hospital Porto Alegre (2007 – 2011), and of the Santa Casa Hospital Complex (2007 to 2009). He is currently a Professor of the Methodist University Center – IPA and coordinator of the Lato Sensu Postgraduate Program on Physiotherapy in Intensive Therapy of the Inspirar Faculty in Porto Alegre. Luiz also works as a Product Specialist on mechanical ventilation. Researcher at the Hospital de Clinicas de Porto Alegre in the Respiratory and Lung – VAP and Hospital das Clinicas of the Medicine Faculty in São Paulo. He has experience in the field of physiotherapy  with emphasis on Hospital Physiotherapy and Physiotherapy in Intensive Care as well as in Experimental and Clinical Research.  He works on the following subjects: Hospital Physiotherapy, Physiotherapy in Intensive Care, Experimental Lung Transplantation, Pulmonary Preservation and Mechanical Ventilation.

Marcelo_do_Amaral MARCELO BERALDO DO AMARALPhysiotherapist (Federal University of Juiz de Fora), with a doctorate in Sciences and Expertise in Respiratory Physiology by the Faculty of Medicine of USP – University of Sao Paulo. Marcelo has experience in Physiology and Respiratory Physiopathology. Currently he is doing his Post – Doctorate at the Faculty of Medicine of University of São Paulo, where his main line of research are the structural and gravitational aspects of ventilation and pulmonary perfusion, acting in the following areas: electrical impedance tomography, computed tomography, experimental templates of  lung injury, strategies of mechanical ventilation, imaging methods, cardiopulmonary interaction, gas exchanges and mathematical templates applied to the respiratory system. He is also the reviewer of the following journals: Respiratory Care, Disability and Rehabilitation, Clinics, Revista Brasileira de Terapia Intensiva, Revista Brasileira de Fisioterapia, and the Journal of Cardiothoracic Surgery.

Graduated in Physiotherapy from the University Foundation of Itaúna (2003). Specialized in Cardiorespiratory Physiotherapy at Hospital São João de Deus in Divinópolis / MG (2005), and a obtained a postgraduate degree in Cardiorespiratory Physiotherapy by the University President Antonio Carlos / MG (2006). He is also a Specialist in Respiratory Physiotherapy and Physiotherapy in Intensive Care by ASSOBRAFIR (2008). He is currently a Physiotherapist, Professor, and Coordinator of the Professional Improvement Course in Physiotherapy in Neonatal Intensive Care at Maternidade “Balbina Mestrinho” – Secretary of Health for the State of Amazonas and Physiotherapist of the Polyclinic Dr. Antonio Comte Telles – Municipal Health Secretary – Manaus / AM.


Physiotherapist (Universidade Estadual de Londrina/ PR), with experience in ambulatory and hospital care, teaching, research and management. Obtained the title of Specialist in Respiratory Physiotherapy and Physiotherapy in Intensive Care (ASSOBRAFIR / COFFITO).  Marlus is also member of associations such as: ASSOBRAFIR, SOCESP, ERS, ESC (EACPR and HFA) and CPX International. He has specialization courses in Cardiorespiratory Physiotherapy (InCor-HC-FMUSP / SP), and on Higher Education Methodology (FURB / SC). He is a Master in Human Movement Sciences (UDESC / SC) and Doctor on Physioherapy (UFSCar / SP), having conducted doctoral internship at the University of Milan (Italy).


Graduated in Physiotherapy by Joao Pessoa University Center; he has a Post-graduation degree in Respiratory Therapy from UNB; a Post-graduation in Cardiac Rehabilitation by the University Gama Filho; Murillo is also a Master in Physiotherapy by UFRN, and a Specialist in Respiratory Physiotherapy by ASSOBRAFIR. Currently he is professor of Post-graduation, Extension and Education Improvement courses, and is the Coordinator of VITACOR – Cardiac and Pulmonary Rehabilitation, and also of PULMONAR diagnostics and cardiopulmonary rehabilitation.


Post PhD in Neurosciences and Behavior, by the University of São Paulo-USP (2014). Specialist in Physiotherapy in Intensive Care – Neonatology and Pediatrics at COFFITO/ASSOBRAFIR (2014). Head of Research and Technologic Innovation of the University Hospital Ana Bezerra- EBESERH / UFRN. Scientific Director of the Regional RN of ASSOBRAFIR. Adjunct Professor of the Physiotherapy and Multidisciplinary Residency Program of the Federal University of Rio Grande do Norte, UFRN/FACISA/HUAB. Experience in the field of physiotherapy with emphasis on Neonatal and Pediatric Intensive Care.


Has a degree in Physiotherapy from the University of Londrina (1999), residence on Respiratory Therapy – Universidade Estadual de Londrina (2002), a Master’s degree in Physiotherapy – by the Katholieke Universiteit Leuven, Belgium (2003) and a PhD in Rehabilitation and Physiotherapy Sciences, also by the Katholieke Universiteit Leuven, Belgium (2005). She was a fellow of CNPq – Postdoctoral Junior (DPJ), developing the research at the State University of Londrina (2006-2007).She is currently a Productivity fellow on Research for the Araucaria Foundation – PR, Assistant Professor B at the State University of Londrina (UEL) and Guide for the Masters and PhD Associate UEL-UNOPAR in the field of Rehabilitation Sciences. She has experience in cardiorespiratory physiotherapy, pulmonary rehabilitation, Exercising and Aging Capacity.
